At 10:21 p.m. on Thursday December 28, Bay District Volunteers were dispatched to 45191 Clark’s Road for a reported ‘House on Fire’.

Within a minute of dispatch, Engine 91 under the direction of Sergeant Rich Merrell responded with 5 personnel in addition to Command 3 with the Fire Chief.

While units were en route to the scene, Communications advised units that the caller had a pizza box in the oven which was on fire.

At 10:30 p.m., Engine 91 at the single story residence with nothing evident.

Engine 91’s crew made rapid entry into the home. They found a pizza box with a small amount of fire in the oven and smoke throughout the residence. The fire was extinguished in the oven and the remnants of the pizza box were removed from the structure.

Tower 9 arrived within two minutes after E-91 and the crew provided positive pressure ventilation to the residence. Fire Chief 3 (Wayne Johnson) held the Clark’s Road Command. Units operated on the fireground for about 40 minutes before returning to service.
