Warrington, Pa. – Sabre Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that Thomas Stone High School senior Amanda Reigel of Hughesville, Md., has been awarded a $1,500 college scholarship to North Carolina State University in recognition of her outstanding STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) accomplishments.
Reigel was presented with her award on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Thomas Stone High School by Jim Hoke, Sabreโs Group Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region. โAmanda was selected from a highly competitive group of high school students located throughout Southern Maryland. Amandaโs impressive academic record, long list of STEM awards, a high potential to succeed in her goal to pursue a career in the bioengineering field, and an obvious alignment to our company values made her a truly deserving recipient of this scholarship,โ remarked Hoke.
The Sabre scholarship program was launched in 2013 in an effort to steer students into one of the STEM disciplines by helping to reduce the financial barriers of attending college. Sabre will award a total of five $1,500 non-renewable scholarships to deserving students in locations where the company has a major presence.
