LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The 11th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk will take place this year on Saturday, September 29th. This event is coordinated by the Development Team at the National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul and is the organization’s primary fundraiser. The Friends of the Poor Walk/Run is a national program and benefits people living in poverty through both fundraising and raising awareness. Our local event is in Leonardtown, MD and the direct benefactor is St. Aloysius Church. You can help make a difference in this great cause! Register to walk, donate to the fund, or become a corporate sponsor. There is no fee to register, but walkers are encouraged to collect pledges.
