
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A Friday afternoon crash involving three SUVs on Point Lookout Road sent one person to a trauma center by helicopter and left others injured.
The collision happened just before 3 p.m. on April 4, 2025, near Fairgrounds Road, where emergency crews found two of the vehicles down in a roadside ditch and a third along the shoulder. All three had sustained heavy front-end damage.

Firefighters and EMS teams rushed to assess the scene, tending to multiple victims as they coordinated a helicopter landing zone nearby.
Maryland State Police Trooper 7 later flew one male patient to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Other victims were taken by ambulance to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown.


Police continue to investigate the crash.
