This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 PM for the outlook area. Scattered severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts and isolated large hail are possible. Isolated instances of flash flooding are possible through early this evening.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire outlook area from 11 AM to 7 PM today.
