
LA PLATA, Md. — The Charles County Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing next month on a proposal to build a Sheetz convenience store and gas station at the intersection of northbound U.S. Route 301 (Crain Highway) and Pembrooke Square.
The application, submitted by Jeff Parana on behalf of Charles County Resource Investors, LLC, seeks approval to operate motor vehicle fuel sales in connection with a new commercial development.
Plans call for a 6,132-square-foot food and beverage convenience store with five fuel dispensers, providing 10 fueling positions.
The public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles County Government Building Auditorium, located at 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata.
