UPDATE 4:55 PM -The Charles County Sheriff’s Office has released the following press release regarding this incident:

Charles County Sheriff’s officers are seeking the identities of two women who stole merchandise from Victoria’s Secret at the St. Charles Town Center. On April 27 at 8 p.m., the suspects entered the store and removed several items off of the front entrance rack and placed them in large bags. The suspects then fled on foot through the lower level of the mall. Investigators are looking into the possibility the suspects may be connected to similar thefts throughout the region. A passerby recorded the theft as it was occurring. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PFC D. Butler at 301-932-2222. Waldorf, MD – The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft case after being apprised of a video that went viral on Facebook yesterday. The video shows two women stealing from a Victoria’s Secret store. One woman hastily threw numerous items of clothing into a large garbage bag before fleeing the store.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office believes the incident may have occurred at the St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf, MD, but have not confirmed that at this time. It is believed this incident could have occurred as far back as January 2016.
