Political party volunteers were on hand at locations such as Calvert Middle School to greet and speak with voters Tuesday, June 26.
Prince Frederick, MD – The polls opened throughout Maryland Tuesday morning, June 26 at 7 a.m. Throughout Southern Maryland voting during the morning hours was described as slow to brisk.
In Calvert County there are 23 polling places, St. Mary’s has 30 and Charles County has 43 voting locations. Voting closes at 8 p.m. at all 96 of the Tri-County region’s voting locations with results to follow.
The counting of votes will not end tonight. The canvass dates in Maryland are: Absentee I, Thursday, June 28; Provisional, Thursday, July 5; and Absentee II, Friday, July 6
