ST. LEONARD, Md. — The St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department recently put out a statement on social media to notify nearby residents of a controlled burn that will be ongoing on the morning of July 18.
The message details that the department will be conducting the house burn in the 3000 block of Williams Wharf Road from 8 a.m. until noon.
The fire department said that people can anticipate the possibility of seeing heavy smoke in the area from those times.
If you are traveling in the area at that time, use caution and be aware of first responders in the area that may be occupying nearby roads.
