LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Superintendent of Schools Dr. J. Scott Smith announced the administrative appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting on Nov. 5, 2025.
The Board appointed Ms. Rebecca Wait as Supervisor of Secondary Science and K-12 Health, 12-month, in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
Ms. Wait holds a Master’s Degree from Towson University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech.
She currently serves as an Assistant Principal (11-month) at Evergreen Elementary School.
Ms. Wait’s appointment will become effective Nov. 10, 2025.
