
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A school bus carrying 25 students was involved in a rear-end collision on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, in Leonardtown, after a Toyota Corolla struck the back of the bus.
Emergency crews responded to Medleys Neck Road near Watson Lane around 3:16 p.m. The St. Mary’s County School bus #588, sustained minor damage. EMS evaluated four patients, but no injuries were reported. All declined treatment at the scene.

School officials contacted parents and guardians, and the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
Traffic in the area was briefly impacted but has since returned to normal.
