PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Office of the State Fire Marshal is currently investigating a fire that broke out at an abandoned structure at 510 Fairground Road in Prince Frederick on April 17, 2023 at approximately 5:18 p.m.
According to the preliminary report, the fire originated from the interior of the structure and was discovered by a neighbor. Firefighters were able to control the blaze within 10 minutes. No injuries were reported at this time.
The estimated loss to the structure was $5,000. The property is owned by the Estate of George Savage, but was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined and remains under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Southern Regional Office at 443-550-6834.
