Maryland State Fire Marshals are investigating an RV fire that left over $250,000.00 in damage.
Firefighters from the Mechanicsville VFD responded to report of a fire on Jan. 15 around 3:25 a.m. along the 38900 block of Reeves Road in Mechanicsville.
Crews arrived on the scene to discover a 2007 Zepher Recreational Vehicle ablaze.
Investigation revealed on Saturday morning a passer-by observed the Zepher RV on fire. After alerting the occupants of the home and the St. Mary’s County “911” Center, the fire department extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
The cause of the fire and area of origin remain under investigation.
