The St. Mary’s County Department of Human Services is offering the nationally recognized program “Staying Connected with Your Teen (SCT).” SCT is designed to give parents the skills needed to help teens successfully make the transition into adulthood by reducing the risk factors and strengthening protective factors.
SCT will be offered on five Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. beginning January 14 and ending February 11, 2010. This parent education program will be held at the Potomac Building, Governmental Center Campus in Meeting Room 14, 23115 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, Maryland. Registration is required and all program materials are provided through a grant from the State of Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration.
