Strong Odor Of Burnt CDS Emitting From The Vehicle

On Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 4:24pm, TFC R. Jackson conducted a traffic stop on a red Volkswagen sedan on Hermanville Road, in the area of Dixon Court in Lexington Park for a traffic violation.

Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Jackson positively identified the operator as Nicholas Maclean Mesmer, 18, of Lexington Park.

While on the traffic stop, TFC Jackson detected the strong odor of burnt CDS emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed both CDS and CDS Paraphernalia.

Mr. Mesmer was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.

He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (1282007165)
