Curtis Bay, MD —  Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a suspect after an overnight shooting in Curtis Bay. Officers responded to reports of a shooting July 30, around 2 a.m. 

When they arrived at the 7600 block of Energy Parkway in Curtis Bay, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. The injury was not life threatening. Two other adult males on the scene were not injured.

After an investigation, detectives learned the identity of the suspect and Officers from the Western and Eastern District Stations as well as the Special Operations Section apprehended the suspect at his Severn, MD home.

22-year-old River Locksley Jefferson was charged with the following:

  • Attempted 1st Degree Murder (3 cts)
  • 1st Degree Assault (3 cts)
  • Hangun related charges
