ANNAPOLIS, Md. – January 6 at 11:30 p.m. an officer was keeping checks in the area of Madison Street when he saw two people in the vestibule of one of the apartment buildings.
When one of the people saw the officer, he grabbed his pocket and ran up the stairs. Officers went into the building and located the person, a 16 year old male from Annapolis, coming down the stairs again.
Officers checked the stairwell and located a loaded handgun on the top floor landing. The 16 year old was arrested and charged as an adult with handgun on person, minor in possession of a handgun and possession of cocaine.
He is awaiting his initial hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
