On March 23, Charles County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 16-year old female and 15-year-old accomplice in connection with an assault and robbery that occurred on February 28 at the Dollar Plus Depot in Smallwood Village Center in Waldorf.
The assault occurred when a store employee tried to stop the girls from leaving the store after they removed a pair of shoelaces from a package. The teens pushed the employee to the ground, kicked her several times and fled. Officers and detectives canvassed the area and discovered the girls had been in another store prior to the assault. After reviewing video surveillance footage from the other store, officers linked the girls to someone who made a transaction and ultimately, detectives were able to positively identify the suspects.
Both teens were charged with robbery.
