On Nov. 2, at 12:02 a.m., on Mattapany Lane in St. Leonard, Trooper First Class Wiersma observed a Beige Nissan Altima parked on the shoulder facing the wrong direction. Upon making contact with the operator, later identified as Daniel Allen Cecil, 19 of St. Leonard, Wiersma detected the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. A search revealed a large amount of marijuana. 

Cecil was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. 

Cecil was processed at the Prince Frederick Barrack and incarcerated in the Calvert County Detention Center.
