This weekend Goddard Farm is once again filled with music for the annual “L’iLโ€ Margaretโ€™s Bluegrass Festival. For 18 years now Joeseph H. Goddard has held the festival in the second week of August in memory of his daughter, for whom it is named. Goddard says each year friends and family from all over begin to arrive up to two weeks in advance to assist with the preparations.

The festival kicked off on Thursday and continues until this evening. Goddard Farm is located off Fairgrounds Road, in Leonardtown, and tickets will be on sale at the gate for $25, with free admission for children under 12. Bring your lawn chairs and you family to enjoy music by Blue Daze, Carroll County Ramblers, Eddie Gill and the Grass Masters, Bluegrass Brothers, and many more.

Country-style cooked meals – sausage and eggs for breakfast, turkey dinners, crab cakes, and hamburgers โ€“ are served from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Coolers are not allowed within the festival grounds, and no alcohol is permitted.
