Tickets are now on sale for the Southern Maryland Film Festival Mini-Fest at the Indian Head Black Box Theater, 4185 Indian Head Hwy, Indian Head, MD 20640. The Mini-Fest will be held on Saturday, July 15 and includes a family-friendly block of short films from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and the second block of movies from 7:00 – 9:00, some of which contain more mature themes and some mild language.
Tickets for each show are $3.00 per person regardless of age, or patrons can buy a $5.00 ticket that is good for the entire evening. “Partnering with the Indian Head Black Box Theater has allowed us to keep ticket prices as low as possible,” states SMFF Steering Committee member Heather Husk. “While the Mini-Fest is a fundraiser for the 2018 Fest, the goal of both organizations is to promote the arts – to introduce audiences to something new and different and make locally-made films easily accessible to as many audience members as possible.” Husk and her fellow committee members encourage adults to attend both blocks of the film.
“The family-friendly movies were well received during last weekend’s Mini-Fest at the North Beach American Film Festival.” To facilitate your evening out, the Theater will also be selling refreshments during the intermission, including a cash bar and various local food trucks on site.
