OWINGS, Md. – On February 29, 2024, at approximately 6:39 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer in the 2200 block of Lower Marlboro Road. Initial reports indicated that the tractor-trailer had flipped over onto a car.
However, upon arrival, it was determined that the tractor-trailer had tipped over while dumping its load on a farm. No other vehicle was involved. The driver of the tractor, who had attempted to self-extricate, was successful and had managed to get out of the cab before the arrival of emergency personnel.
The driver sustained minor injuries and declined further medical treatment at the scene
Crews were on the scene for approximately 20 minutes before returning to service.
