On March 23, 20119:15 p.m. deputies responded to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of a burglary in progress.ย The complainant, a maintenance man/security guard, told deputies a black male entered the church and fled out the window when he arrived to check the building.ย The church had recently been the victim of burglaries.ย The complaint stated a short time later a female, identified as Sara Jane Tawney, 22 of Lexington Park, Maryland pulled into the parking lot of the church.ย The complainant contacted the female and inquired why she was at the church.ย She stated she was picking up a friend. She was operating a white Honda passenger vehicle and fled prior to the arrival of the deputies.ย A lookout was broadcast for Tawney, her vehicle and the male suspect. As Sgt. Walker was checking the area he spotted a male matching the description of the suspect.ย When the male saw Sgt. Walker he fled.ย A foot chase ensued and the suspect managed to elude the deputy.ย A short time later Tawneyโs vehicle was spotted and stopped by the deputies.ย Further investigation revealed Tawney was in the church parking lot to pick up Justin Darrell Biscoe, 23 of Lexington Park, Maryland.ย Deputies located and arrested Biscoe.ย Biscoe was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of obstructing justice.ย Tawney was charged with obstructing justice.
