MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — On June 4, 2025, a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Budds Creek Road and Mechanicsville Road sent two children to a trauma center.

The collision occurred around 4:45 p.m. and involved a t-bone impact with multiple occupants. Emergency responders evaluated five patients at the scene and requested MEDEVAC for two pediatric victims, both of whom were flown to an area hospital for treatment.

  1. April 27 2024 Autumn Leighanne Compton, 19, of Cobb Island, died here as well .
I just want to let her family and friends know I remembered

    1. I thunk they really should add a traffic light there yea it might cause a back up a little but but it would be alot safer I cant tell you the amount of times I have personally almost gotten hit at that intersection

  2. How many accidents have to happen there before #MDOT does something? Give me a specific number. Rumble strips were placed on Mechanicsville Road – wow, that really helped. When these people hire personal injury lawyers, make sure the state of Maryland is sued as well for willful negligence and disregard of life.
