GREAT MILLS, Md. — Emergency crews responded Saturday evening to a two-vehicle crash with entrapment at the intersection of Pegg Road and Lexington Drive in Great Mills, leaving three people injured.
The crash was reported around 5:10 p.m. on March 14, 2026, prompting a response from Bay District Volunteer Fire Department firefighters and multiple EMS units.
Upon arrival, crews located a two-vehicle collision with airbags deployed, with one occupant trapped inside a vehicle and injured. Firefighters quickly began rescue operations and performed a door pop to access the patient, freeing the trapped occupant within minutes of their arrival.
Multiple patients were evaluated and treated on the scene by emergency medical personnel.
Two patients were transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, while another patient was transported by ground ambulance to UM Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
