Two Injured After Serious Head-On Collision In Lexington Park

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – On June 26, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Chancellors Run Road in the area of FDR Blvd.  

Crews arrived to find two vehicles involved in a head-on collision with multiple occupants injured and one trapped. Firefighters quickly extricated the trapped occupant by removing the driver-side doors.

EMS evaluated two patients on the scene and transported both to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for care.

  1. Not sure if the traffic light was a factor, but has anyone noticed this light is different than most of the others in the county? Instead of letting one side go first (crossing CRR), both FDR lights turn green. Just odd seeing how the state/county alternate all other intersections.

      All traffic laws still apply…at each intersection. So, if you can’t follow simple traffic laws, expect to cause a vehicle collision.
