Two Teens Arrested with Bag of Marijuana, Blunt and Glass Device

At 5:13 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 7, TFC L. Nims was patrolling Route 5 north of Winter’s Lane, Redgate, when he observed a vehicle being operated with an inoperable tag light. Upon contact with the driver, Jon Shaw Lore 3rd, 19, of Lexington Park, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. 

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.  Located on the rear floorboard was a bag of suspected marijuana and a “blunt”.  A glass smoking device containing suspected burnt marijuana was located in a compartment behind the driver seat. 

Mr. Lore and a 16 year old male passenger were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. 

Mr. Lore was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.  The juvenile was released to his mother pending disposition by Juvenile Authorities.
