HOLLYWOOD, Md. — At approximately 4:45p.m. on Feb. 18, 2021, Station 7 was dispatched to the 43300 block of Johnson Road for the possible house fire. 

Units arrived at the scene with 17 volunteers and found a one-story single-family home with no initial fire evident. Crews eventually discovered light smoke throughout the house and attempted to locate the source. 

The group handling the investigation with the units determined a malfunctioning wood stove with no extension to the structure.

Other units from Station 7 were able to assist in ventilation, and the rest were able to leave the scene. Crews managed to contain the situation and resume to other service in approximately 30 minutes.
