A Lexington Park woman facesย attempted first-degree murder, first-degree arson, first-degree assault andย threat of arson charges after allegedlyย setting multiple fires to a home at Coronet Place in Lexington Park. ย 

One of the occupants of the home had recently filed a protective order against his former girlfriend, Tourissa Alcindor, 28, of Great Mills after he says she made threats against him and his entire family through text messages and Facebook messages.

On Alcindor’s Facebook page, “Tee Mocha Reese”, she wrote the victim stating, “You not protected against this hunting knife either,” as well as, “Did I show you my machete I’m storage as well?”

Within the last two weeks, the ex-boyfriend said Alcindor had proposed marriage to him, which he declined. Alcindor also told him, “I will cut your d**k off and feed it to your dog,” according to the ex-boyfriend’s statement in charging documents.

The ex-boyfriend said their relationship began a month ago when he met Alcindor at a bus stop. He said she was initially a quiet girl with few friends.ย 

The ex-boyfriend said Alcindor created fake facebook accounts in the names of other people and messaged him. He said he received a message on Facebook in the name of “Shellnice Hudson”, which is his mother’s name. One message said, “One night you all will be sleep and I (Alcindor) will set fire to your house with you all in it.”

Another message in the same thread read, “You are to blame for you and your familyย  dying, I have the perfect day and time set to kill all of you at once in your home. I will get away with murder. watch.”ย 

Alcindor has a tentative preliminary hearing scheduled for October. 21 at the St. Mary’s County Disrict Courthouse. She is being held without bond at this time. ย

Lexington Park, MD ย — Deputy State Fire Marshals charged Tourissa Alcindor, 28 after St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended her on a Malicious Destruction of Property charge.ย 

A previous Arrest Warrant was on file from the Office of the State Fire Marshal concerning multiple fires set outside an occupied dwelling located at 20913 Coronet Place in Lexington Park Sunday, Sept. 18.

At approximately 3:45 a.m., an occupant of the home awakened to the odor of smoke and discovered smoldering debris outside the front door of the dwelling.ย  Additional small fires were located in multiple locations around the exterior of the home as well. The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department quickly responded to ensure the small fires were properly extinguished.ย  Damage to the structure was estimated at $2,000.

ย A joint investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office revealed Alcindor was responsible for setting the fires. Her whereabouts were unknown at the time of the investigation and an arrest warrant was obtained. She located Wednesday, Sept. 21 and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and promptly served her warrant for arrest.ย  She faces charges of: attempted first-degree murder, first-degree arson, first-degree assault, threat of arson and violation of a protective order.

Lexington Park, MD –ย State officials report a fire at a house in St. Maryโ€™s County Sunday morning, Sept. 18 was deliberately set. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the fire did $2,000 worth of damage to the two-story, wood-framed, single-family house on Coronet Place in Lexington Park. The fire was discovered by one of the homeโ€™s occupants around 3:45 a.m.

โ€œAn occupant of the house woke up after detecting the odor of smoke,โ€ a fire marshalโ€™s report stated. โ€œUpon investigating the source of the smoke, smoldering debris was discovered at the front door. Upon further looking around, additional small fires were found around the exterior of the house.โ€

Four firefighters from the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. No injuries were reported.

The St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office and Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
