MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a single vehicle that overturned into a field off Point Lookout Road near Bellevue Lane.
The crash occurred around 7:14 p.m. on April 12, 2025. According to initial reports, the vehicle flipped off the roadway, causing head injuries to the driver. The driver managed to crawl from the overturned vehicle prior to the arrival of first responders.
Units from St. Mary’s County Fire and EMS quickly arrived on the scene, providing immediate medical attention. The injured driver was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Authorities have not yet provided an update on the severity of the injuries or determined the exact cause of the accident.
