WALDORF, Md. – The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department released the following statement regarding the death of past Deputy Fire Chief Paul “PP” Purcell.
The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department regrets to announce the non-line of duty death of Past Deputy Chief Paul “PP” Purcell on Friday, February 01, 2019, following an extended battle with cancer.
Past Deputy Chief Purcell served the citizens of Charles County for 14 years, serving in many capacities, including Deputy Chief, Fire Station 12 from 2014-2015. Paul also retired from the Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority Fire & Rescue Department (L3217) following a distinguished career.
