On January 6, 2011 police units responded to St. Mary’s Hospital for the report of a victim entering the emergency room suffering from a gunshot wound.  Detectives from The St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded and assumed the investigation.  The investigation led to three search and seizure warrants being simultaneously executed in Mechanicsville, Maryland on February 18, 2011.  

The search warrants were executed with the assistance of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team, Maryland State Team, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack, Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Southern Maryland Intelligence Center and Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division.  


Following the execution of the search warrants Tyreke Delonte Butler, age 24 of Mechanicsville, Trevis Lemar Butler, age 29 of Mechanicsville and Darryl Carlton Parks, age 17 (charged as an adult) of Suitland, Md., were each charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Use of a Handgun during the Commission of a Felony.  Trevis Butler was also served with a Circuit Court warrant for Violation of Probation.  

All three were incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
