LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – The Patuxent Habitat for Humanity Warrior 5K was a wonderful success despite the cold rainy weather! We wish to thank our sponsors: Toyota of Southern Maryland, Southern Maryland Battle Buddies, Patuxent Dental, Ausley Associates, Quality Built Homes, Precise Systems, Community Bank of the Chesapeake, Coldwell Banker–George Zarecki, Coldwell Banker-Paul Fenton, Coldwell Banker–Mary Rego, Calvert County Baptist Church and our anonymous sponsors. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the volunteers that came out on such a chilly day to help us with this event. This year’s event netted over $5,000. Proceeds from the Warrior 5K support our Veterans Critical Home Repair program which provides low income veterans with wheelchair ramps, handicap accessible bathrooms, and major critical repairs such as roofs, floors and much more. The program helps veterans age in place with the respect they deserve.

The Virtual 5K is a race that can be done anywhere at any time, from your treadmill or even from your couch!
