
SOUTHERN MARYLAND — The snowfall from Feb. 12, 2025, is already melting across Southern Maryland, leaving many residents wondering if this will be the last snow day of the year.
As the snow fell, locals embraced the winter weather with sledding, snowman-building, baking, and cozy indoor activities. In response to a Facebook poll, residents shared their favorite snow day traditions, ranging from outdoor adventures to staying in with a good movie.

Creative Snowmen and Colorful Designs
This snowfall proved ideal for building snowmen, with many residents getting creative. Some sculpted snow animals, while others used food coloring mixed with water in spray bottles to decorate their creations.


Will There Be Another Snow Day?
With rising temperatures and melting snow, the question remains: Was this the final snow day of 2025?
According to weather forecasts, temperatures are expected to climb into the high 50s on Sunday, Feb. 16, with rain possible. However, snow showers are in the forecast for Wednesday, Feb. 19, and Thursday, Feb. 20.
For now, residents will have to wait and see whether Southern Maryland gets another taste of winter before the season ends.
