WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Nationals are honoring the 250th birthday of the United States Navy by offering free admission to service members for the Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, game against the New York Mets.
All Department of Defense (DoD) ID cardholders are eligible to receive two complimentary tickets for the 4:05 p.m. matchup at Nationals Park. Tickets must be claimed in person at the First Base Box Office, and recipients are required to download the MLB Ballpark app to receive and access their digital tickets.
The event is part of a special U.S. Navy Day celebration recognizing 250 years of naval service and sea power. Active-duty members are encouraged to wear their summer whites, while civilian attendees are invited to show their Navy pride in blue and gold attire.
The Nationals encourage all fans to join in the celebration and show support for the Navy community. Additional event details and ticketing information are available through the Nationals or MWR Pax River.

In addition to this special event, the Nationals offer ongoing military and public service savings throughout the season. Through a partnership with GOVX.com, eligible participants — including active-duty, reserve, veteran and retired military personnel, first responders, public school teachers and government employees — can save up to 40% off face value on regular season home game tickets. Each ticket also includes a spending credit for concessions and merchandise, ranging from $5 to $15.
