
TYSONS, Va. — From Oct. 31 to Jan. 12, 2024, the Winter Lantern Festival will return to Tysons Corner, Virginia. This marks the fourth year the outdoor festival has been held in Tysons. It will feature a variety of attractions, including 1,000 handmade Chinese lanterns arranged in a wide range of artistic forms, such as woolly mammoths, dragons, and interactive features like light tunnels, a bouncy house, and light swings.
This year, the festival will also showcase the Zigong Acrobatic Troupe, an award-winning group specializing in light festivals, performing acts such as juggling, balancing, and face-changing. Food and drink stands, as well as a gift shop, will also be available.
The festival draws about 150,000 visitors annually, making it one of the largest events in the D.C. area. It is not only large in attendance but also in size, with an estimated walk time of 45 minutes through the festival attractions.
The event is located at 8025 Galleria Drive, Tysons, VA 22102, and is open to the public from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the last admission at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available on the festival’s website: winterlanternfestival.com/virginia.
