A 77-year-old Mechanicsville woman has been charged with attempting to murder her boyfriend. Lillian Mae Levy was arrested Saturday in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Her boyfriend, a 62 year old man from Richmond, Virginia is in critical condition at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
The alleged incident occurred at the Wilderness Presidential Resorts near Fredericksburg, where the couple reportedly met regularly. According to Captain Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, the victim suffered gunshot wounds to his head.
Levy was also charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford County, VA.
Captain Pearce said the investigation of the incident is continuing.
