Yesterday, October 3rd, at 11:26 a.m. a 2003 Toyota RAV4 being operated by Katherine Church Prout, 27 years, of St. Leonard, and a 1993 Chevrolet Blazer being operated by Patricia Carolyn Rice, 33 years, of Charlotte Hall, were traveling westbound on MD Rt. 225, east of Hunters Brook Drive.
Ms. Prout failed to control her speed and struck the rear of Ms. Rice’s vehicle. Rice’s vehicle was forced off of the roadway and overturned in a ditch. Ms. Rice received incapacitating injuries and was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to Prince George’s Hospital.
Prout received injuries but was not transported. She was cited with failure to control speed to avoid a collision.
