Woman Injured After Vehicle Strikes Deer, Overturns In Indian Head

INDIAN HEAD, Md. — A 47-year-old woman was transported to a hospital Monday night, Dec. 22, 2025, after a single-vehicle rollover crash along Chicamuxen Road near Butterfly Place.

The crash was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. when multiple callers notified emergency services of a vehicle overturned in a wooded area near the intersection. One third-party caller told dispatch the vehicle appeared to have struck a deer before leaving the roadway.

First responders located a pickup truck on its side off the roadway. The crash involved a single occupant, who was found outside the vehicle and later seated with emergency personnel while being evaluated.

The woman was transported to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
