UPDATE – Flat Iron Road is now reopened.
GREAT MILLS, Md. – On February 25, 2024, at approximately 3:08 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Flat Iron Road in the area of Guenther Drive.
Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle overturned with one occupant injured and trapped. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated the driver within 25 minutes of the call.
EMS evaluated a 50-year-old female and requested a MEDEVAC due to injuries. The landing zone was established at King’s Christian Academy for Maryland State Police, Trooper 7.
The patient was airlifted to an area trauma center for treatment.
Flat Iron Road was closed in the area of the crash for an extended period of time.
