La Plata, Md. — At approximately 6:52 PM, last night, firefighters responded to a chimney fire on Jennies Run Ln in La Plata. The fire reportedly began in a wood stove before spreading to the chimney.
Crews confirmed that all residents had evacuated the home safely, as efforts went underway to fully extinguish the flames. No injuries have been reported at this time.
