A Little Pot in This Shoe, A Little More in That Shoe

At 4:15 p.m. Feb.10, TFC P. Trossbach of the Leonardtown barrack responded to a burglary call on Maple Valley Lane in Hollywood.

While investigating the burglary, a blue Chevrolet was observed pulling into the driveway.

When the driver saw the police vehicles he quickly pulled away from the scene.  A broadcast was given of the suspicious vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Michael Joseph Jenner, 18, of Lexington Park. The passenger was identified as Nathan Amin Shelley, 19, of California.

Upon contact with the driver, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected.  A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle. A bag of marijuana and a partially burnt marijuana “roach” was recovered from the passenger side door pouch.

Both the driver and passenger were placed under arrest. A search of Shelley revealed a bag of marijuana in his right shoe and two bags of marijuana in his left shoe. Both subjects were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
