PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – On August 16, 2024, soon after our story went viral, Angel Jimenez’ family was contacted by the Calvert County State’s Attorney and advised his death was currently under investigation. Baynet requested a statement from the Calvert SAO. Calvert SAO simply stated the death was under investigation and was unable to provide a statement at this time.
Consequently, soon after our story was published Calvert County Sheriff’s office released a statement on social media indicating as soon as they became aware of Jimenez’s death, they began the process of obtaining an impartial investigation and Maryland State Police took over.
The question remains, why has this taken 8 months for the family and the public to hear about this incident? Why do so many simple questions remain unanswered?
