The detonation of four improvised explosive devices in a residential neighborhood in Dunkirk is under investigation, state authorities reported.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the incidents are believed to have occurred between July 1 and 8. The detonations of the โ€œsoda bottle bombsโ€ occurred at a home on Two Sisters Lane.

The detonations were discovered by the homeowner.

On July 8 at 11 p.m. the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office dispatched an investigator to conduct a โ€œpost blast investigation.โ€

โ€œThe devices were determined to have been detonated on two occasions,โ€ Deputy Fire Marshal John Nelson stated.

There were no injuries reported and no fire department response was required.

No arrests have been made in the case.
