PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — If you’re looking for one-on-one conversation with local candidates before you head to the polls, you’ll have your chance this week.

On May 7, the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce invites local candidates, the business community, and concerned citizens to join together at Running Hare Vineyard at 150 Adelina Road, Prince Frederick, from 5-7 p.m. for a candidate meet and greet.

The meet and greet offers a meaningful space for one-on-one conversations, thoughtful questions, and open dialogue about the issues that matter most to our community. Your participation helps foster understanding, encourages civic engagement, and strengthens the connection between residents and future leaders.

This event is sponsored by Constellation, Cove Point LNG, and Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort.

The meet and greet is a nonpartisan event designed to give plenty of opportunities for candidates to connect with the public and for people to engage at their own level of interest about whatever affects them most. All candidates in all parties are welcome — and the same goes for the public.

“An informed community is the foundation of a strong, thriving local economy — and every voice matters,” the Chamber of Commerce wrote in an email to The BayNet.

So bring your questions, your interest, and your excitement. There is no cost to attend and all are welcome. Pre-registration is not required. Anyone with questions can call the Chamber for more information at 410-535-2577, or visit online to learn more and see the full calendar of events.
