The Calvert County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday, Dec. 2 to appoint James Piatt to fill the unexpired term of Joseph R. Chenelly representing the First Election District on the Board of Education.
Piatt was selected from a list of 15 applicants, 13 of whom interviewed with the commissioners for the vacant seat.
Piatt was not at the meeting and was not immediately available for comment.
