MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Firefighters responded Friday afternoon, Dec. 19, 2025, to a fully involved mobile home fire in the 27000 block of Mount Zion Church Road in Mechanicsville after receiving multiple emergency calls reporting the trailer engulfed in flames.
Crews were dispatched shortly after 2:12 p.m. and arrived to find a single-wide trailer fully involved, prompting a defensive attack due to heavy fire conditions. Firefighters laid out hose lines along Three Notch Road at Mount Zion Church Road in front of the Apple Basket while establishing a water supply to support suppression efforts.

An engine tanker secured water from a hydrant in the Ben Oaks subdivision as exterior operations continued. Firefighters worked to knock down the main body of fire and address hot spots as portions of the structure deteriorated.
Multiple fire units operated on scene, with all personnel accounted for under safety command. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
