The Charles County Department of Economic Development is asking local businesses to report damages resulting from Hurricane Sandy. Any Charles County business that had damage as the result of the recent storm should contact the Department of Economic Development at 301-885-1340 or info@CharlesCounty.org

Over the next several days, Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster assessment teams, along with U.S. Small Business Administration representatives and state and local officials, will be assessing storm damage. Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development Secretary Christian Johansson has asked county economic development officials to compile a list of businesses that sustained storm damage. This will help the teams in making as complete an assessment as possible, which will in turn help businesses receive the assistance they need.
