During the week of July 27 – August 2 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,345 calls for service throughout the community.

Theft: 20-39803
On July 28, 2020, Deputy Anderson took a report of a theft that occurred at Walmart in Prince Frederick. The complainant advised sometime between 11:25am and 11:45am, an unknown suspect(s) stole the registration plate off their trailer while in the store parking lot. The value of stolen property is $30.

Theft: 20-40032
On July 29, 2020, Deputy Crum responded to Haleys Way in Owings for the report of a theft. The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) stole a Husqvarna blower backpack from the bed of their truck. The value of stolen property is $450.


Daniel Andrew Jarboe II, 45

On July 27, 2020, Deputy E. Payne responded to the area of Windmill Nursery on East Chesapeake Beach Road for the report of a vehicle all over the roadway. Deputy Payne observed a vehicle matching the description parked on the shoulder and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle continued driving away and increasing speed, ignoring Deputy Payne’s emergency equipment and commands to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle came to a stop on Paris Oaks Road in Owings and Deputy Payne made contact with the driver, Daniel Andrew Jarboe II (45), who she observed to have droopy eyes and slurred speech. Jarboe ignored multiple commands to exit the vehicle and after being physically removed from the vehicle, attempted to walk away. After multiple attempts, and assistance from other deputies, Jarboe was detained and deputies were able to detect a strong odor of alcohol emanating from Jarboe’s breath. A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in an open can of compressed air duster that was cold to the touch, as well as five unopened cans. Jarboe was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Resist/Interfere with Arrest, CDS- Inhale Harmful Substance, Disorderly Conduct, and multiple traffic citations.

Zachary Lloyd Fisher, 22

On July 28, 2020, Deputy Kwitowski responded to Prince Frederick Library for a welfare check. Upon arrival, Deputy Kwitowski observed Zachary Lloyd Fisher (22) to be visually upset and shouting loudly at other deputies on scene. Fisher eventually went on his way. Shortly after, deputies were advised a male was seen shouting at a female and being disruptive in the parking lot of Wawa in Prince Frederick. Deputies located Fisher in the parking lot and observed him to be shouting and throwing change onto the sidewalk. Fisher was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Tyler David Edwards, 25

On July 31, 2020, Deputy N. Buckler responded to Eagle View Drive in Chesapeake Beach for the report of multiple thefts. Complainants advised their vehicles were rummaged through by a male Suspect during the overnight hours, and various items were taken. Deputies conducted a neighborhood canvas and made contact with Tyler David Edwards (25), who matched the suspect’s description. Edwards advised deputies he was staying with a friend but left the house, and was looking for a place to sleep overnight. Deputies located Edwards’ backpack which contained the stolen items from the vehicles including a bag of change, Quay sunglasses, 64 children’s movies, three small containers of communion wine and four cardboard vape packages. Edwards was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged in four separate cases with Rogue and Vagabond.
