Educational seminars to be held at Calvert Memorial Hospital
Prince Frederick, MD – Calvert Hospice is partnering with Calvert Memorial Hospital to provide educational seminars to our community. Attendees will learn about topics that impact end-of-life care for patients and their families. Sessions are designed to encourage group discussion. Our next seminar is entitled “Support for Caregivers” and will be held on Nov. 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Seating is limited, so register early for seminars. All classes will be held in Classroom 2 on the lower level of Calvert Memorial Hospital located in Prince Frederick.
Director of Patient and Family Services for Calvert Hospice, Amy Szatanek, LCSW, ACHP-SW will be presenting the seminar.
It is important to remember: Many of us will become caregivers at some point in our lives, and there are ways in which we can prepare ourselves for that time. Amy’s presentation will include tips for communicating with physicians, information on preparing for doctor’s visits, and will include a Q & A opportunity for participants.
